StoneCrest at Piper Glen, was the first of Crosland Retail’s forays into signature placemaking. The regional omnicenter is located at Rea Road and I-485, and boasts some of the busiest traffic, best demographics and highest incomes in the Charlotte market. The team carefully planned public plazas such as the popular fountain area, which buffered the busy road and provided a great gathering place for live music, dancing or sitting fountainside eating frozen yogurt. The center also offered a children’s village with a quaint courtyard, which helped consumers save time by clustering cross-shopping patterns. Great anchors, restaurants and plentiful parking rounded out the center.
